Artificial intelligence in higher education: awareness of risks

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to identify and classify the risks associated with the introduction of artificial intelli gence in the field of education.

Methods. General scientific research methods were used: analysis and synthesis, induction, deduction, concretiza tion, classification. Comparative and systematic approaches were used to identify cause-and-effect relationships. The classification of risks is based on the principles of unity of foundation, mutual exclusion, systemic completeness, rele vance and adaptability.

Results. The potential risks of using artificial intelligence technologies in the educational sphere are diverse and cov er different levels of interaction between students, teachers and the education system as a whole. Potential risks are identified and characterized: technological, ethical, psychological, cognitive, social, pedagogical, legal and regulatory. Recognizing the risks will make it possible to use the potential of artificial intelligence to improve the quality of educa tion, without forgetting the fundamental principles of learning and personal development of students. The classifica tion of potential risks will allow taking into account the balance between the use of artificial intelligence and the preservation of the human factor in education, and developing strategies to minimize negative consequences in the educational process.

Conclusion. To minimize the negative consequences of the use of artificial intelligence in education, comprehensive measures are needed, including the development of appropriate regulations, the improvement of educational pro grams, the development of new methods and pedagogical technologies, the retraining of teachers and the provision of modern technical infrastructure. The best results from the introduction of artificial intelligence will be achieved if an educational environment is formed that preserves the value of traditional teaching under the guidance of a teacher, but at the same time actively uses and integrates the capabilities of artificial intelligence.
